Summarize your work in one word?
Relearning

What inspires you to continue making work?
My love for the living world around us inspires me most – forests, oceans, animals, plants, the sun, the moon, etc.
I want to find a way to connect again to our inner nature and to appreciate and protect our planet.
The destruction of our planet harms not only the the world around us but also ourselves – physically and mentally.

I want people to remember what's already forgotten, and to relearn that our inner nature is not linear and what counts in life, to fight against a cruel money-driven system for global justice for the whole living world.

What are you currently working on at the moment?
I'm experimenting a lot with soil, pins and wires at the moment. I want to extend my work to different mediums.
An idea is also to make some „growing works“ with plants in future.

Who inspires you most to push your work further?
The artist who inspires me most is Louise Bourgeois. I was so deeply moved by looking at her works at the Tate Modern for the first time. Her work is so honest and sensitive and I love the way she played with different techniques and materials.

Personally also my partner, who is an amazing and innovative artist as well, inspires me a lot to keep on going and to believe in myself. I think it's very important to have an emotional support from someone who is close to you.

If you could say anything to your former self, regarding your art practice, that would help you progress what would it be?
Don't concentrate just on one medium and put yourself into a box – just keep on doing what you love – without any restrictions. Stay curious and don't be afraid to try things you've never done before.
